Biography

Louis Le Bail was born in Mayenne, where he painted many landscapes. He belongs to the artistic style of naturalism; landscape is his favorite subject. He was strongly influenced by the Impressionists and the precursor of Post-Impressionism, Cézanne.
He exhibited landscapes at the Salon des Indépendants from 1905, then at the Salon d’Automne and the Salon des Tuileries.
