A naked woman, adorned with jewelry, is lounging on a chaise longue. The curves of the armchair follow those of her naked body. Seeming to sunbathe, she relaxes in a very relaxed attitude.

The decor is modernist and cubist. Geometric forms with varied motifs are intertwined in superimposed planes.
The atmosphere is summery and marine.

Pierre, André Bouey is a painter of portraits, nudes and landscapes.
He is a pupil of the genre painter Louis Roger.
He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he became a member.
He was awarded the silver medal as well as the Marie Bashkirtzeff prize in 1937 and then the Robert de Rougi prize in 1938.
