Painter of urban landscapes, he particularly painted Paris.

He exhibited from 1907 at the Salon des Indépendants views of Paris in which the houses are cut out by schematic and colored masses.

For our painting, the painter has set up his easel in the picturesque streets of the village of Montmartre.

A blue sky and a light at the zenith illuminate the scene; a shimmer of pastel and luminous colors emerges on the facades of buildings and stalls.
