The scene takes place on the water. The painter plunges us into the magical setting of the Bay of Naples. <\/div>\n
In one of the boats, women with their children, protected from the sun by an awning, in the other, fishermen offering their fish for sale. The scene is lively and colorful. <\/div>\n

Fran\u00e7ois Dubois is a French neo-classical painter of history, portraits and landscapes.<\/div>\n
He entered the \u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts in 1813, where he was a pupil of the painter Jean-Baptiste Regnault. He exhibited from 1814 to 1861; <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He won numerous awards, including the Prix de Rome in 1819 for his work Themistocles takes refuge with Admetus, King of the Molosses.<\/div>\n
He was also an Orientalist painter. We know of many Neapolitan landscapes by him <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
