Karl Georg Arsenius , the specialist of horse scenes<\/h3>\n

Specialized in horse paintings, Karl Georg Arsenius represents a training scene of racehorses, certainly in the environment near Chantilly.<\/p>\n

An impressionist technique, painted on the spot, a soft and colorful palette.<\/h3>\n

The painting is painted with spontaneity and dynamism. Light colors and a diffuse light bathe the scene.<\/p>\n

Biography<\/h4>\n

Carl Georg Arsenius is a Swedish painter, active in France.
\nHe began his studies at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm and then continued them in Paris in the workshop of Jean Paul Laurens. 3 years later, he left Sweden to live in Vineuil near Chantilly.<\/p>\n

He became a renowned animal painter. He exhibited successfully and received many awards. After the success of his painting Retour de Longchamp<\/em> and his Cheval d’omnibus<\/em>, he quickly turned to paintings of horses.<\/p>\n

He was frequented by the aristocracy, notably King Oscar II for whom he painted many equestrian portraits.<\/p>\n
